According to KTR, Shivaganesh comes from a modest background and is the son of a former welder from Parsigutta in Hyderabad. He noted that the young entrepreneur is receiving support from T-Hub as he works to turn his vision into reality. The proposed Student-focused bank seeks to create a financial ecosystem tailored to the needs of students and their families.
KTR wished Shivaganesh success and described his journey as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs. The startup founder has already attracted international attention for his innovative ideas.
Student-focused bank proposal gains global recognition
Shivaganesh received a grant of $100,000 from Emergent Ventures for his work. In addition, he secured a place on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list in the Finance and Venture Capital category. His startup has also raised ₹10 crore in funding.
Furthermore, the company is preparing to apply for an RBI payments licence as part of its expansion plans. The proposed Student-focused bank forms a key component of the entrepreneur’s long-term vision for financial services.
Student-focused bank linked to financial literacy initiative
Apart from banking services, Shivaganesh is promoting financial literacy among young people. He created a comic book character to simplify financial concepts for students.
Moreover, he is developing a free animated film aimed at making financial education engaging and easy to understand. The initiative seeks to encourage better financial awareness among students at an early age.
Supporters of the project believe the combination of technology, education and financial services could create new opportunities for young people. The Student-focused bank proposal has therefore drawn attention from both the startup community and education stakeholders.
