Hyderabad: KPHB Police solved a KPHB servant theft case by arresting two housemaids accused of stealing a 100-gram gold biscuit and Rs.1 lakh in cash from a villa in Indu Fortune Fields, KPHB Colony.
According to police, the theft took place on May 19 after the homeowner’s wife allegedly left an almirah unlocked. Investigators said the two domestic workers noticed the valuables and allegedly stole a 24-carat gold biscuit weighing 100 grams along with Rs.1 lakh in cash.
KPHB servant theft case solved after investigation
Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and arrested Konala Ramya and her younger sister, Karri Nagalaxmi, on June 30. During the operation, officers recovered the stolen 100-gram gold biscuit intact. However, police said the accused had already spent the stolen cash.
The case was registered at KPHB Police Station. Senior officers supervised the investigation, while the KPHB Crime Team carried out the operation. Police said they would suitably reward the officers involved in solving the case.
