Korutla MLA fires at Jagtial MLA, dares him to resign

Hyderabad: Political tensions escalated in Jagtial district after Korutla MLA Kalvakuntla Sanjay Kumar launched a sharp attack on Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay, openly daring him to resign and face the people.

While addressing the media, Kalvakuntla Sanjay Kumar described Dr Sanjay as a “useless fellow” and alleged that he knew nothing beyond contracts and bills. He rejected claims that Korutla patients depended on Jagtial for medical treatment.

He alleged that betraying KCR amounted to betraying the people. At the same time, he questioned which political party Dr Sanjay currently belonged to.

Issuing a direct challenge, Kalvakuntla Sanjay Kumar said Dr Sanjay should resign if he had the courage. He added that he would also resign from Korutla and contest from Jagtial if Dr Sanjay stepped down.

Raising another issue, the Korutla MLA questioned the slow pace of medical college construction in Jagtial. He said the work had moved at a snail’s pace for the past two years and demanded accountability.
