Konda Surekha slams KCR, Calls him power-hungry and ignoring public welfare
Minister Konda Surekha criticized former CM KCR, accusing him of being power-hungry and ignoring public welfare, stating that his focus was on retaining power rather than serving the people.
HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister and Congress leader Konda Surekha has launched a sharp attack on former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), alleging that his governance prioritized personal and political gains over public welfare. She accused the BRS leader of being power-hungry and failing to address critical issues during his tenure.
Speaking at a press meet, Konda Surekha criticized KCR for neglecting key concerns such as farmers’ distress, unemployment, and corruption. She asserted that instead of working for the welfare of the people, his primary focus was on retaining power.
“Even after being voted out, he still behaves as if he controls the state. His hunger for power remains unchanged,” she remarked, adding that KCR’s post-election actions show his reluctance to accept the people’s verdict.
Konda Surekha further stated that the Congress government is now actively working to fulfill its promises and improve governance, in contrast to the previous BRS regime, which she claimed prioritized self-interest.
As Telangana’s political battle intensifies, her remarks have fueled the ongoing verbal exchanges between Congress and BRS leaders, keeping the rivalry in the spotlight.
