Jubilee Hills bypoll will reshape Telangana politics, says Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election has become a key political moment for Telangana and will reshape the state’s political course. He made the remarks on Thursday while addressing booth presidents and party workers from Erragadda Division.

Kishan Reddy says Jubilee Hills poll will reshape Telangana politics

The Minister said no one sought this by-election; it became necessary after the sitting MLA’s death. However, he asserted that this election would trigger a decisive political change in the state. Kishan Reddy criticised both the BRS and the Congress, saying they failed Jubilee Hills for more than a decade.

He said the Congress government had completely ignored the constituency. “Everywhere you see overflowing drains and garbage heaps,” he said. Moreover, he alleged that the Majlis party (AIMIM), not Congress, controls the administration. Consequently, he warned that the people of Telangana must not let AIMIM dominate public life.

Minister slams Congress, BRS, and AIMIM

Kishan Reddy said AIMIM’s goons forced several families to vacate their homes in the Old City. He reminded the audience that the BRS, Congress, and AIMIM ruled Telangana together for years. “KCR carried Majlis on his shoulders; now Congress does the same,” he remarked.

Furthermore, he alleged that these three parties continue to work together to stop the BJP’s rise. “Even during Congress rule, BRS leaders enjoyed ministerial posts,” he said. “These are family-run parties that care only about their own interests.”

He warned that AIMIM aims to indirectly control the Jubilee Hills constituency. “Do not hand over Jubilee Hills to the Majlis party,” he urged.

BJP questions Congress over unfulfilled promises

Kishan Reddy also attacked Congress for failing to deliver its six election guarantees. “Where is the ₹2,500 monthly aid for women? What happened to the scooters and gold they promised?” he asked. He alleged that Congress leaders looted public funds while abandoning welfare commitments.

Additionally, he questioned the delay in giving the ₹4,000 allowance for unemployed youth. He said the government has not issued a single new pension. “Where is the ₹1 lakh crore fund for BCs and weaker sections that Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy promised?” he asked.

Moreover, he demanded to know whether Congress gave ₹12 lakh to each Dalit family as pledged. “They have failed to fulfil even one promise,” he said. Kishan Reddy added that the Congress also ignored civic infrastructure. “There are no proper streetlights, not even on the Chief Minister’s routes,” he said.

BRS, Congress, and AIMIM work to stop BJP: Kishan Reddy

He said both BRS and Congress were colluding with AIMIM to stop the BJP’s growth. “A vote for BRS or Congress equals a vote for the Majlis,” he said. “BRS has no future in Telangana; voting for it is like throwing your vote into the Musi River.”

Minister calls for unity among BJP cadres

Kishan Reddy urged BJP cadres to work with commitment till November 11 and strengthen the party at the grassroots. Furthermore, he said BJP candidate Deepak is a people’s leader who has been actively solving local problems. “Let us all unite and ensure his victory,” he said.

He appealed to citizens to protect Hyderabad from the Majlis party’s grip. He added that, despite false propaganda, truth and justice would prevail in Jubilee Hills.

Finally, the Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi earned global recognition for India through hard work and vision. “The BJP government continues to deliver welfare schemes and free rice to the people with low-income,” he said. “Modi works day and night for the people of India.”
