Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dr. Dasoju Sravan on Monday described the SIT’s five-hour questioning of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao as “a sadistic act of political vendetta.” He warned that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s actions could spark a strong public backlash across Telangana.
Speaking in Asifabad with MLA Kova Lakshmi and RS Praveen Kumar, Sravan said KCR remains the architect of Telangana and a respected father figure. He insisted that “vengeance politics” cannot erase KCR’s legacy of struggle and progress.
KCR Telangana architect: Sravan says public anger is rising over broken promises
Recalling Telangana’s history, Sravan remarked, “If Komuram Bheem fought for Jal, Jangal, and Zameen, KCR realised that vision through Neelu, Nidulu, and Niyamakalu.” He added that welfare schemes initiated by KCR have now become models for the entire country.
Sravan accused the Congress government of riding to power on “420 fake promises.” He criticised their contradictory statements on the State treasury. “On day one, they claimed it was full. On day two, they called it empty. This ‘empty pot’ drama only hides their failure,” he said.
Furthermore, he alleged that projects such as HYDRA and the Musi River revamp were being used for scams. He said the government had discarded key commitments like the Tola of Gold scheme for Kalyana Lakshmi beneficiaries and the Job Calendar for unemployed youth.
Condemning the Chief Minister’s tone, Sravan stated that Revanth Reddy’s language and SIT tactics violated democratic norms. He warned that continued neglect of pensioners and public welfare would hasten the government’s collapse.
He concluded by urging the CM to shift focus from vendetta to governance. “The public’s patience has limits,” he said.
