K Narayana targets BJP government over SIR and UPL

Hyderabad: CPI national leader Dr. K. Narayana criticised the BJP-led Central government over what he described as growing public opposition and nationwide protests.

K Narayana claimed that public anger against the government was increasing with each passing day. He said the movement against the government had spread across the country.

Referring to an alleged corruption episode involving Jnaneshwari Mishra in Kerala, he said the issue had now gained wider attention under the name SIR. K Narayana also alleged that Kumar had become deeply embroiled in corruption and said people were demanding his resignation.

The CPI leader accused the Modi government of attempting to suppress public anger instead of learning from past developments. He said the government should address the allegations rather than try to contain criticism.

The CPI national leader also raised concerns over UPL. He alleged that while public problems were worsening, the introduction of UPL had enabled the collection of crores of rupees from ordinary people.

K Narayana raises allegations over UPL and SIR

K Narayana alleged that the Central government was pursuing what he described as a dual approach of “vote theft + pocket theft”. He criticised the government over the alleged practices and linked them to the wider public anger he referred to in his remarks.

He further alleged that the government had previously managed to avoid a larger political fallout after the resignation of an Education Minister. Now, he said, the government would have to secure the resignation of the CEO to address the Kumar-related controversy.

Narayana warned that failure to act could eventually place the alleged corruption issues directly on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also said the public was demanding accountability over the controversy. The CPI leader maintained that the government could not avoid responsibility by attempting to suppress the anger surrounding the allegations.
