Hyderabad: Telangana Excise and Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Tuesday said the state government would respect the Telangana High Court’s decision to cancel the Group-1 merit list and re-evaluate answer scripts.
Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan during a ministers’ outreach event, Rao said the government would review the judgment before taking further action. “We respect the High Court’s verdict. The state will act in accordance with the law,” he said.
Minister blames BRS for exam lapses
Rao criticised the previous BRS administration, claiming it failed to hold Group-1 exams for over a decade. “This mess is a result of their negligence,” he remarked.
Public grievances addressed
Rao also directed excise officials to investigate the Cherlapalli drugs case and submit a detailed report. He assured the public that strict measures would follow based on the findings.
During the session, citizens submitted petitions related to Indiramma housing, ration cards, Dharani land record corrections, and passbook distribution. Rao assured attendees that eligible applicants would receive benefits in a phased manner.
