Indiramma housing benefits distributed, Jupally Krishna Rao warns on bribes

Hyderabad: Minister for Tourism and Culture of Telangana Jupally Krishna Rao on Thursday distributed Indiramma housing proceedings and welfare scheme cheques to beneficiaries in Boath, Nizamabad district. He warned that no one should demand money from beneficiaries for housing allotments and vowed strict action against violators.

The minister also shared his personal number with the public. He urged people to call him directly if anyone sought bribes. “No one should exploit people in the name of Indiramma houses. Anyone demanding money will face consequences,” he declared.

Minister highlights debt burden, stresses welfare and social reform

Jupally accused the previous BRS government of leaving behind a debt burden of ₹8 lakh crore. He said that despite financial stress, the Congress government was determined to keep its promises. Development and welfare, he noted, were moving forward as two equal priorities, with the six guarantees as their base.

He emphasised that welfare alone cannot transform society. “Only when social evils are eradicated can a new social order be created,” he said. Jupally cautioned families against debt traps caused by spending on corporate education, private healthcare, and luxury celebrations. Instead, he encouraged people to use government schemes to raise their standard of living.

The minister underlined that the Congress government aimed to deliver welfare benefits with full transparency and accountability.
