Hyderabad: Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Friday campaigned in support of Congress candidate V. Naveen Yadav for the Jubilee Hills by-election, targeting the BRS and highlighting the achievements of the Revanth Reddy-led state government.
Accompanied by Government Whip Aadi Srinivas, MLA Madhusudan Reddy, Dairy Development Corporation Chairman Gutta Amit Reddy, and Kakatiya Urban Development Chairman Inagala Venkatram Reddy, Jupally led door-to-door campaigns in Vasavi Buddhavanam, Nandanagar, Bhavani Nagar, and Zaheera Gulshan Bagh of Erragadda division. The team also addressed a walkers’ meet.
He urged voters to elect Naveen Yadav with a strong majority, stating that only Congress can ensure sustained development in Jubilee Hills. Jupally accused the previous BRS government of plunging the state into a debt crisis. “KCR’s regime borrowed ₹8 lakh crore, forcing Telangana to pay ₹6,500 crore in monthly interest,” he said.
Despite the fiscal strain, he claimed the Congress government had begun implementing all six guarantees, keeping its promises to the people. “Much work remains, but we have made a start. We ask for your support to continue this path,” he said.
Jupally called on voters to reject BRS leaders, accusing them of misleading the public. “This by-election is a chance to teach them a lesson through the ballot,” he said.
