Jagadish Reddy says fear grips CM Revanth ahead of Jubilee Hills bypoll

Hyderabad: Former minister G. Jagadish Reddy said fear had already gripped Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, adding that his position was at risk after the Jubilee Hills by-election. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan with BRS leaders, Jagadish Reddy accused the Chief Minister of losing mental balance and making reckless remarks.

He said, “Revanth Reddy’s behaviour has become shameful and erratic. He speaks without reason or dignity.” Furthermore, Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister was misusing the Command Control Centre to monitor opposition leaders. “KCR built the Command Control for public safety, but Revanth Reddy now uses it to spy on us,” he charged. He also challenged Revanth Reddy to prove his claims about bulletproof windows and demanded an inquiry into the Command Control Centre and Secretariat contracts.

Jagadish Reddy says Congress will lose Jubilee Hills bypoll

Jagadish Reddy asserted that voters in Jubilee Hills would cast their votes based on the development agenda rather than Congress propaganda. He further claimed that Revanth Reddy insulted Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Sonia Gandhi, both widely respected across the country. “No other leader has ever used such harsh words against them,” he remarked.

He questioned the Chief Minister’s attempt to threaten private college managements and said the Congress could not win the bypoll despite all its efforts. Moreover, he warned that “history will never forgive Revanth Reddy for his arrogance.”

Jagadish Reddy also alleged that Revanth Reddy’s conduct during the Bihar elections embarrassed Telangana. “Even Bihar leaders objected to his language. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had to stop him from campaigning,” he said. He went on to describe Revanth Reddy and Union Minister Kishan Reddy as “bad brothers,” saying both followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directions.

BRS leader blames Revanth Reddy for rise in drug cases

The former minister accused the Chief Minister of failing to control the surge in drug-related crimes. “Even police commissioners admitted that crime has increased,” he said. He pointed out that under KCR’s rule, the government maintained strict control over drug trafficking.

Additionally, Reddy criticised Revanth Reddy for his remarks against Harish Rao. “During KCR’s tenure, Harish Rao never disrespected party colleagues or officers. But Revanth’s reckless talk is tarnishing Telangana’s image,” he said. He advised the Chief Minister to “watch his words before further damaging the state’s reputation.”

Former MP Lingayya Yadav, former MLAs Pailla Shekhar Reddy, Gadari Kishore Kumar, Budida Bikshamaiah Goud, and BRS leaders Chintala Venkateshwar Reddy and Dayakar Reddy attended the press conference.
