Hyderabad Traffic Police distribute 200 helmets during Arrive Alive campaign

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police organised a road safety awareness programme under the Arrive Alive campaign at NTR Junction, where officials distributed 200 ISI-marked helmets to two-wheeler riders and pillion riders.

The awareness drive was led by K. Hari Prasad, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Jubilee Hills Zone, along with SHO Traffic, Banjara Hills. The programme was conducted with support from Team Tarak Trust to encourage safer riding practices among commuters.

During the event, officials educated motorists about the dangers of wrong-side driving, using mobile phones while driving, and allowing minors to operate vehicles. They urged commuters to follow traffic rules and wear helmets to reduce the risk of serious injuries in road accidents.

Arrive Alive campaign highlights safe driving practices

As part of the initiative, Hyderabad Traffic Police appealed to road users to adopt responsible driving habits and contribute to making city roads safer. Officials emphasised that wearing certified helmets and following traffic regulations can significantly improve road safety.

The police said awareness campaigns will continue across the city to promote compliance with traffic rules and reduce road accidents through public participation.
