Hyderabad: Telangana road accidents triggered injuries and traffic disruption on Sunday after three separate incidents occurred in Karimnagar and Siddipet districts. The first mishap injured several farm workers when a speeding tractor-trolley overturned near Tanugula in Jammikunta mandal.

Farm workers travelled from Elubaka in Veenavanka mandal to Nagaram for cotton picking when the driver sped through the Tanugula outskirts junction. He lost control, and the trolley overturned. The injured shouted for help, and villagers rushed them to Jammikunta Hospital in an ambulance. Authorities began collecting further details at the location.

Telangana road accidents spark safety concerns
In Koheda mandal’s Varukolu village, a DCM van carrying poultry feed tilted to one side after the driver attempted to give way to an RTC bus near a drainage channel. The van brushed the edge of the narrow road and leaned dangerously before the driver stabilised it. Villagers expressed relief after the vehicle avoided a major crash. They blamed the recurring danger on houses built into the roadway and requested immediate road-widening in the village.

Another mishap occurred near Dourjapalli when an RTC bus hit a tractor moving ahead of it. Local residents confirmed that the passengers escaped injuries. The crash created a two-kilometre traffic jam, and police reached the stretch to clear the vehicles. Officers worked through the buildup and restored the movement of traffic. They also recorded statements to complete the preliminary inquiry.
