Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police seized hash oil worth about ₹3.12 crore in two separate anti-drug operations and took five accused into custody. Police also detained two drug consumers during one of the raids.
In the first operation, police arrested two persons from Andhra Pradesh near Erragadda Metro Station. Officers seized 23.706 litres of hash oil valued at about ₹2.96 crore.

In the second operation, police detained three alleged drug peddlers and two consumers near Road No. 10 in Jubilee Hills. Officers seized 1.250 litres of hash oil worth ₹16 lakh during the raid.
City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said the department was maintaining constant surveillance to create a drug-free environment in Hyderabad. He said drugs destroy the future of young people, families and careers.
The Commissioner urged young people not to pursue a luxurious lifestyle through drugs or fall prey to addiction. He also appealed to citizens to immediately inform the police about drug trafficking or drug consumption and support efforts to make Hyderabad a drug-free city.
