Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao launched a fierce attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a campaign rally in Sadashivpet, Medak district. He urged voters to choose BRS over what he called Congress’s “cheating and chaos.”
Addressing the municipal election campaign on Sunday, Harish Rao said the BRS had brought real development to Sadashivpet. “We solved drinking water issues, built a 50-bed hospital, and constructed a new bus stand,” he said. He noted that the town had seen ₹250 crore worth of development during KCR’s tenure.
Contrasting the two parties, Harish Rao asked, “Should we vote for those who fed us or those who smeared lime?” He mocked Congress for offering nothing but false promises, while BRS, he claimed, had delivered solid results on the ground.

Revanth halted schemes and disrespected voters, says Harish Rao
Harish Rao accused Revanth Reddy of shutting down nearly every major welfare scheme. “KCR Kit is gone, sheep and fish distribution stopped, fee reimbursement halted,” he said. He added that pensioners were each owed ₹52,000 in arrears, as the Congress government failed to deliver the promised ₹4,000 or even the existing ₹2,000 payments.
Referring to Revanth’s public language, Harish said, “This is a chief minister who talks about pulling out intestines, twisting necks, and throwing eggs. Is that how a leader should speak?” He condemned the CM’s use of vulgar language and asked voters to deliver a strong message through the ballot.
He also claimed that Revanth Reddy was using SIT notices and drama to divert attention from administrative failure. “No real work, just foul words and false cases,” he said. Harish Rao accused the Congress of offering cash to buy votes but added that even recipients said they would still vote for the BRS.
Highlighting religious and civic infrastructure, he said BRS allotted five acres each for Hindu, Muslim, and Christian burial grounds. He credited KCR’s leadership for introducing urban services like streetlights, parks, roads, and basti hospitals.
Harish further alleged that Congress betrayed every group—BCs, SCs, STs, women, youth, students, and government employees. “There isn’t a single community they didn’t cheat,” he said. He accused the ruling party of forgetting its declarations and focusing instead on abuses and insults.
Promising a special development package if BRS wins, Harish Rao assured Sadashivpet voters that all civic problems would be addressed. “If you elect BRS, we’ll restore municipal funding and bring back genuine development,” he said. He ended by calling on voters to reject Revanth’s abusive politics and support the car symbol.
