Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla pays tribute to Kaloji Narayana Rao

Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla paid tribute to public poet Kaloji Narayana Rao on his birth anniversary and extended greetings to people on Telangana Language Day.

Shukla recalled Kaloji’s contribution to expressing Telangana’s soil, people’s speech and the warmth of its dialect through his writing. He said the poet used his pen to create awareness among the people.

“A single drop of ink can stir a lakh minds,” Kaloji wrote, highlighting the power of the written word to awaken public consciousness.

The Governor said Telangana’s dialect represented the region’s identity. He also described the mother tongue as the lifeline of its culture.

Shiv Pratap Shukla urged people to draw inspiration from Kaloji and protect Telangana’s language, dialect and culture. He called for passing them on to future generations with greater richness.

The Governor also conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of Telangana on Telangana Language Day. Furthermore, he recalled Kaloji’s role in bringing Telangana’s linguistic character and public voice into his writings.

Shukla said preserving the region’s language and dialect would help carry its cultural identity forward. He called for efforts to ensure that future generations received this heritage in greater splendour.
