Hyderabad: Punjab State Information Commissioner Harpreet Sandhu presented his India heritage works to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla during a meeting at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. Sandhu called on the Governor and presented books authored by him on Punjab’s agrarian heritage and Chandigarh’s iconic heritage.
His presentation also included a book focusing on Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh. The works highlighted different aspects of India’s natural, cultural, agricultural and architectural legacy. In addition, Sandhu presented his artwork titled “The Pride of Peacock – Glory of India.” The work portrayed the peacock, India’s national bird.
India heritage works highlight cultural diversity
The India heritage works were presented as part of an effort to showcase the country’s diverse legacy across different States. Through his books and artwork, Sandhu highlighted natural landscapes, agricultural traditions, cultural heritage and architecture.
The presentation also sought to encourage greater appreciation of India’s varied and multifaceted heritage. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla appreciated the artwork depicting the national bird.
He also commended Sandhu’s initiative to promote and showcase India’s rich natural and cultural heritage through his creative and literary works.
