Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) conducted special Monsoon sanitation drives in Amberpet, Yousufguda and several other circles as part of efforts to strengthen preparedness for the rainy season.
The sanitation drives focused on vulnerable locations across the city with the objective of improving cleanliness, facilitating smooth rainwater flow and reducing potential public health risks during monsoon conditions. GHMC teams carried out field-level activities to address sanitation concerns in areas prone to water stagnation and drainage-related issues.
Officials said the initiative forms part of the corporation’s broader monsoon preparedness strategy aimed at minimizing disruptions caused by seasonal rainfall and ensuring safer surroundings for residents.
Monsoon sanitation drives target vulnerable areas
During the campaign, GHMC personnel undertook preventive sanitation measures and closely monitored conditions in sensitive locations. The focus remained on maintaining hygiene standards and improving the efficiency of rainwater drainage systems ahead of heavy rainfall.
