Fire breaks out at Kethepally police station in Nalgonda district

Hyderabad: A fire broke out at the Kethepally police station in Nalgonda district and damaged several seized vehicles parked inside the station premises.

Police had stored the vehicles at the station after seizing them in different cases. However, flames suddenly erupted and quickly spread to nearby vehicles.

Officials suspect that intense heat or another unidentified reason triggered the blaze. The flames spread rapidly within minutes and created panic at the station premises.

Kethepally station fire damages seized vehicles

Meanwhile, Kethepally police personnel immediately alerted the local fire station after noticing the fire. Firefighters rushed to the spot with a fire engine and joined police personnel in controlling the flames.

Officials managed to douse the fire before it spread to the main police station building. Their timely response also prevented major property damage.

Police have started an investigation to identify the exact cause of the incident.
