Hyderabad: Eco-friendly Ganesh idols made of natural clay were distributed to Bar Association members at the Telangana High Court as part of an environmental initiative for Ganesh Chaturthi.
Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh participated in the distribution programme at the High Court for the State of Telangana. The Bar Association president and secretary attended the programme along with other advocates. GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan also participated in the initiative.
The programme encouraged people to choose natural clay idols instead of those made with Plaster of Paris. Organisers stressed responsible festival celebrations to help protect Hyderabad’s environment and water bodies from pollution.
