Eatala seeks funds for Malkajgiri Corporation development

Hyderabad: BJP MP Eatala Rajender on Thursday said the Malkajgiri Corporation funds requirement had increased due to growing civic and infrastructure challenges in the region.

He said the corporation needed substantial financial support after the merger of several municipalities and villages into the civic body.

Eatala Rajender spoke during a review meeting on development works held at a private hotel in Nagole.

He said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who earlier represented the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, understood the region’s long-pending civic problems.

According to Eatala, discussions with the Chief Minister covered several major issues affecting residents across the constituency.

These included the Jawahar Nagar dumping yard, smaller dumping sites at Macha Bolarum, sewage pollution in lakes and the spread of water hyacinths.

He also referred to shortages of surveillance cameras, theft incidents, poor street lighting, drinking water shortages and drainage problems.

Malkajgiri Corporation funds needed for civic works

Eatala Rajender stressed that development activities should not suffer because of lack of funds.

He called for adequate budget allocations to address infrastructure and sanitation issues across the corporation limits.

The BJP MP said resolving the Jawahar Nagar dumping yard issue required cooperation from all political parties and stakeholders.

He said leaders should work together despite political differences because development remained a collective responsibility.

Eatala also assured residents that authorities would explore permanent solutions for dumping yard-related problems in the constituency.

Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy attended the meeting along with MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy, Laxma Reddy, Sudheer Reddy, Rajasekhar Reddy and Malla Reddy.

Municipal chairpersons, public representatives and officials also participated in the review meeting.
