Dattatraya invites Telangana Governor to Alai Balai

Hyderabad: Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya invited Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to the Alai Balai programme scheduled for October 22. Dattatraya met the Governor at Lok Bhavan on Friday along with Alai Balai Foundation chairperson Bandaru Vijayalakshmi.

Dattatraya invited Shukla to the annual programme at the Hyderabad Exhibition Grounds. He explained that the event had evolved into a celebration of Telangana’s rich culture and traditions. He also described it as a symbol of the State’s spirit of togetherness.

The meeting took place at Lok Bhavan, where Dattatraya and Vijayalakshmi met the Telangana Governor. The invitation was extended ahead of the annual Alai Balai programme.

Alai Balai invitation followed Ganesh prayers

Separately, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla offered special prayers to Lord Ganesha at the Main House in the Durbar Hall of Lok Bhavan on Friday. The prayers were held ahead of the immersion of Ganesha idols at Lok Bhavan.

The Governor prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Telangana. Governor’s Joint Secretary K. Shashi Kiran, along with Lok Bhavan officials and staff, participated in the programme.

The two programmes took place at Lok Bhavan on Friday, with the Governor receiving the invitation for the upcoming Alai Balai event and later participating in the special prayers for Lord Ganesha.
