Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate marked its 24th Cyberabad Police Formation Day with a renewed focus on technology-driven and citizen-centric policing, Commissioner Dr M Ramesh said on Thursday.
Recalling the establishment of the commissionerate in 2003, Dr Ramesh said it had evolved into a model of modern urban policing. He noted that the force supports one of India’s fastest-growing economic regions.
According to him, advanced command-and-control systems form a core pillar of operations. In addition, cybercrime investigation capabilities and scientific traffic management have strengthened enforcement. He also cited community policing programmes as key to building public trust.
Moreover, administrative restructuring under the Core Urban Region framework aimed to improve coordination with civic agencies. The changes were designed to enhance operational efficiency across divisions.
