Congress turned into real estate mafia, alleges Dasoju Sravan over Gajula Ramaram land scam

Hyderabad: MLC Dasoju Sravan accused the Congress government of orchestrating a massive land scam in Gajula Ramaram, calling Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s administration a “real estate mafia.”

Sravan said the Congress rose to power promising people-centric governance but instead weakened key land ceiling laws introduced by former Prime Ministers P.V. Narasimha Rao and Rajiv Gandhi. He alleged the party was now handing out land as political rewards in places like Gajula Ramaram, a practice he termed “nazrana politics.”

Pointing to Survey No. 307 in Gajula Ramaram, Sravan revealed that 317 of 411 acres were already acquired by the government under land ceiling laws. Despite this, he said illegal re-registrations and encroachments were underway using forged documents. He alleged that Congress leader Arikepudi Gandhi encroached on 11 acres, which were regularised immediately after his defection.

Gajula Ramaram land scam: Dasoju Sravan demands probe into forged land deals

The MLC claimed that fake entries in the Bhu Bharati portal, including in Gandhi’s name, could not have occurred without official involvement near regions like Gajula Ramaram. He said Madhavaram Krishna Rao had lodged formal complaints with top state authorities, yet no action followed.

“HYDRA officials promised swift action, but illegal boundary fencing appeared overnight on lands including those in Gajula Ramaram,” Sravan said. He questioned how public land was being transferred “as if a son-in-law were giving away his father-in-law’s property.”

Sravan demanded a full investigation into officials who facilitated the alleged scam around Gajula Ramaram. He asked if “Bhu Bharati had now become Bogus Bharati.” While the government claimed to be probing IDPL lands, he accused them of deliberately avoiding scrutiny of Survey No. 307.

He also blamed ministers for leaking internal policy documents, calling it a sign of poor coordination within the Cabinet. He criticised the government’s focus on personal attacks against opposition leaders instead of addressing development, investments, or innovation.

Sravan dares Revanth govt to hold local polls, act on defections

Sravan condemned the use of public funds for what he called “grandfather–grandson games,” referring to ₹200 crore reportedly spent on events that should have benefited communities like those in Gajula Ramaram. He questioned the delay in delivering core welfare schemes like Mahalakshmi and Rythu Bandhu to rural beneficiaries.

Calling for accountability, Sravan urged the Congress to disqualify defecting MLAs and conduct the long-pending MPTC and ZPTC elections. Additionally, he warned the Speaker against being misled by political pressure.

Targeting both national parties, Sravan accused Revanth Reddy of playing both sides. “While Rahul Gandhi calls Modi a ‘Chowkidar,’ Revanth praises him as ‘Bade Bhai,’” he remarked. According to Sravan, BJP leaders barely criticise Revanth, and Congress MPs rarely challenge Modi in Parliament.

“If even 10% of BJP press meets criticised Revanth, I’d rub my nose on the ground,” he said. He also questioned why the Amrut scam complaint filed by KTR had not led to any action.

Sravan concluded by alleging that the Congress-led state government and BJP-led central government were functioning in tandem, with no real checks or accountability between them regarding issues in Gajula Ramaram.
