Telangana Jagruthi’s efforts led to probe into govt land encroachments: Kavitha

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Tuesday claimed that sustained efforts by her organisation had compelled the government to order an inquiry into multiple cases of govt land encroachments, including those involving IDPL properties.

During her visit to Medchal district as part of the “Jagruthi Janam Baata” programme, Kavitha said that local residents had flagged large-scale land grabs, particularly on IDPL lands. She stated that Telangana Jagruthi took the matter to public attention and pushed the government to act.

Welcoming the inquiry involving Vigilance and Revenue departments, Kavitha described the decision as a victory for Telangana Jagruthi. She said the probe should uncover the truth and expose politically motivated allegations made against her family.

Govt land encroachments inquiry must expose truth: Kavitha

Kavitha criticised the Congress-led state government, alleging that it has focused more on publicity than on meaningful action. She said that since taking office, the government has merely announced inquiries without delivering results.

She demanded swift completion of the probe and the immediate reclamation of all illegally occupied government lands. Emphasising that such lands belong to the public, she called for their protection and restoration for community use.
