Congress leaders clash during Gandhi Bhavan meeting

Hyderabad: A Gandhi Bhavan meeting in Hyderabad witnessed tense scenes after two Congress leaders allegedly engaged in a heated argument that later turned into a physical confrontation.

The clash involved Feroz Khan from the Nampally Assembly constituency and Usman Al-Haj, in-charge of the Karwan constituency.

According to reports, the dispute began over seating arrangements near Minister Mohammed Azharuddin during the party meeting at Congress headquarters Gandhi Bhavan.

The argument soon escalated as both leaders allegedly grabbed each other by the collar in front of party members.

State ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin were present during the incident.

Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao attempted to intervene and calm the situation. However, reports indicated that some individuals also tried to push him aside during the confrontation.

Despite repeated appeals from Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to stop the fight, the leaders reportedly continued arguing until other party members intervened.

The disruption eventually forced organisers to adjourn the Gandhi Bhavan midway.
