Hyderabad: The Congress party has expedited its organisational restructuring process in Telangana, particularly in the united Medak district, aiming to complete the exercise by July 15 as per All India Congress Committee (AICC) directives.
At a meeting held on Wednesday at the Begumpet Tourism Plaza, PCC district in-charge minister Ponnam Prabhakar and district in-charge Vivek Venkatswamy met with DCC presidents, key district leaders, Parliament in-charges, general secretaries, and observers.
Party hopefuls for various organisational roles have been asked to finalise their applications by July 13 in the presence of DCC presidents. The leadership has emphasised representation for youth and women, along with social justice through the inclusion of SC, ST, BC, and minority leaders in mandal- and district-level committees.
On July 14, Ponnam Prabhakar will conduct interviews with aspirants at Gandhi Bhavan—Siddipet hopefuls at 10 a.m. and Sangareddy district aspirants at 2 p.m. Only party loyalists actively working on the ground will be considered, the leadership reiterated.
Senior leaders, DCC heads, Parliament in-charges, and observers have been directed to ensure the organisational revamp strengthens grassroots presence. The meeting was attended by three DCC presidents, several Parliament in-charges, and key district officials.
