Mahesh Kumar Goud directs DCCs to show progress within six months

Hyderabad: TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud advised newly appointed District Congress Committee presidents to begin their work with close coordination. He said they must involve senior district leaders and key functionaries from the outset to ensure smooth decision-making. Moreover, he reminded them that AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan had set a six-month performance deadline. According to him, each DCC must show measurable improvement within that time frame. He added that a stronger district structure would help Congress secure wins in upcoming elections.

Mahesh Goud addressed DCC presidents and the heads of frontal and affiliated bodies during a virtual meeting held on Tuesday. He congratulated the new DCC presidents and said they must focus on building unity within their teams. He also noted that consistent communication with local units would strengthen the party’s presence across districts.

TPCC chief urges push for ‘Vote Chor’ campaign and Delhi protest

Mahesh Goud asked leaders to speed up the statewide “Vote Chor” signature drive. He said the party should prepare for the “Vote Chor Maha Dharna” in Delhi on December 14 and ensure full participation from all organisational wings. Furthermore, he said strong mobilisation would reflect the party’s commitment to electoral reforms and public outreach.

Turning to organisational strength, the TPCC chief said the Congress must reinforce its base ahead of local body elections. He asked leaders to motivate cadre, energise district units and support candidates who can secure victories. Mahesh Goud said collective effort would decide the party’s success and urged all district leaders to maintain coordination as they advance party programmes across Telangana.
