CM Revanth Reddy completes Harvard executive leadership course

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy completed an executive leadership course at the Harvard Kennedy School in the United States, earning a rare academic distinction while holding office.

The programme, titled Leadership in the 21st Century: Chaos, Conflict and Courage, concluded on Thursday. Harvard faculty presented Revanth Reddy with a certificate after he successfully completed the course.

With this achievement, Revanth Reddy became the first Indian Chief Minister to receive a certificate from an Ivy League institution while in office. Officials described the milestone as a rare accomplishment.

The executive education programme began on January 25. It brought together 62 participants from over 20 countries.

During the programme, Revanth Reddy attended classes as a regular participant. Sessions ran daily from 7 am to 6 pm under a rigorous schedule.

Meanwhile, Massachusetts faced severe winter conditions. Temperatures dropped between minus 15 and minus 24 degrees Celsius due to Snowstorm Fern.

Despite the harsh weather, Revanth Reddy attended all sessions without interruption. He took part in case studies, group projects, and classroom discussions.

The course focused on leadership challenges in the 21st century. It also covered crisis handling, power analysis, and decision-making during conflicts.

Officials said the programme aimed to equip leaders with practical tools to manage complex challenges. Revanth Reddy completed the course alongside global participants from diverse professional backgrounds.
