HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy addressed a gathering during the distribution of job appointment letters, congratulating the new recruits and reaffirming his government’s commitment to education and employment generation.
A Job That Represents Emotion and Responsibility
The Chief Minister emphasized that these appointments are not just jobs but an emotional milestone for many who have struggled for years. He highlighted the crucial role of unemployed youth in the Telangana statehood movement and criticized the previous government for neglecting their needs.
– He stated that 12 years of their lives were wasted due to the past administration’s negligence.
– Within the first year of the Congress government, 55,163 jobs were filled, demonstrating a strong commitment to employment.
– The CM expressed satisfaction that his government provided a permanent solution to the long-standing unemployment crisis in Telangana.
Education as the Foundation of Telangana’s Future
CM Revanth Reddy stressed that a nation’s future is shaped in classrooms, linking economic development with advancements in education.
– The appointment of 1,292 Junior Lecturers and 240 Polytechnic Lecturers was described as a crucial step in revitalizing the education sector.
– He mentioned that pending teacher transfers and promotions were addressed, improving administrative efficiency.
– The decline in educational standards is a serious concern, and he urged the new recruits to bring government schools up to par with private institutions.
Revamping Government Schools and Higher Education
The Chief Minister acknowledged that the decline in student enrollment in government schools must be investigated.
– Education is not an expense but an investment in the future, and the Young India Integrated Schools project is a step in that direction.
– The government has allocated ₹11,000 crore for 55 new Young India Integrated Schools to enhance public education.
– The establishment of the Young India Skills University aims to equip students with global-level skills.
Focus on Sports and Encouraging Athletes
With an eye on the next Olympics, the government is establishing the Young India Sports University and the Young India Sports Authority to groom top athletes.
– Athletes excelling in their fields are being rewarded, such as:
– Cricketer Mohammed Siraj was given a government job by relaxing norms.
– Boxer Nikhat Zareen was appointed as a DSP.
– Paralympian Deepthi Jeevanji was provided with a house site and a job.
Sharp Criticism of the Previous Government
CM Revanth Reddy took a strong dig at former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing his administration of leaving behind only debts and failures.
– He revealed that Telangana has ₹6,500 crore in monthly liabilities due to debts incurred by the previous government.
– He stated that KCR’s administration financially crippled the state, equating it to a cancer that is now affecting Telangana’s economy.
– The CM declared that he would not run the state on a foundation of lies but on facts and transparency.
A call for collective effort in Telangana’s progress
CM Revanth Reddy urged the youth and new employees to support the government in shaping Telangana’s future. He reaffirmed his commitment to development and transparency, pledging to work towards a prosperous Telangana for future generations.
