Hyderabad: The Telangana government initiated a major reshuffle through the latest Telangana IPS transfers, and it reassigned 32 officers across critical units. As part of the process, DS Chauhan stepped into the Additional Director General (Personnel) role, which plays a central part in administrative coordination.
Soon after issuing the orders, the government shifted several field officers to strengthen district policing. Narayana Reddy took charge as Maheshwaram DCP, while Sangram Patil assumed duties as Nagar Kurnool SP. Moreover, Sneha Mishra moved to Vikarabad as SP, and Sanket began his tenure as Bhupalpally SP. Shabarish also started work as the Mahabubabad SP, and Sunitha assumed command in Wanaparthy. In addition, Padma took over the Narcotics SP post and now leads specialised enforcement activity.
Consequently, the reshuffle touched major city units as well. Sridhar began duty as the Malkajgiri DCP, and Kiran Kharge shifted to the South Zone as DCP. Furthermore, Vaibhav Gaikwad assumed responsibility as the Task Force DCP and now oversees priority operations in Hyderabad.
Wider leadership changes under Telangana IPS transfers
The Telangana IPS transfers also introduced shifts at the state level, and they realigned oversight functions. Parimala Nootan took charge as CID Director General and now leads statewide investigations. Additionally, M. Chetana joined the Police Academy as Deputy Director and will guide training programmes for officers at various levels.
Officials noted that the postings matched administrative goals, and the moves reinforced accountability within district and specialised units. Therefore, the reshuffle created space for new leadership while ensuring operational continuity.
