CM Revanth pays tribute at Gun Park as Telangana Formation Day celebrations begin

Hyderabad: Telangana Formation Day celebrations began with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paying tribute to martyrs at Gun Park before participating in the official state function at Parade Grounds.

The Chief Minister first visited Gun Park and offered floral tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana. He then proceeded to Parade Grounds and unfurled the national flag. He also received the ceremonial guard of honour from police personnel.

Earlier, Revanth Reddy extended greetings to the people of Telangana through a message on X. According to the Chief Minister, the occasion serves as a moment to remember past sacrifices and assess future goals.

Authorities enforced stringent security arrangements in and around Secunderabad for the celebrations. More than 1,000 police personnel were deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

Telangana Formation Day celebrations held across districts

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka participated in the official programme in Khammam and hoisted the national flag. Meanwhile, Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy attended the celebrations in Warangal, while Minister Seethakka took part in the event in Mulugu.

At the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar unfurled the national flag. Similarly, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy hoisted the flag at the Legislative Council premises.

MLAs, MLCs and legislative staff attended the programmes. Participants also highlighted the government’s efforts towards development and welfare across the state.
