Charminar Police recover 30 lost mobile phones

Hyderabad: Charminar Police recovered 30 lost and stolen mobile phones through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal and technical investigation before returning them to their rightful owners on Saturday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police P. Chandra Shekar handed over the recovered mobile phones to their owners at the Charminar Police Station. The recovery operation was carried out using the CEIR portal along with advanced technical investigation.

The operation was executed by the Charminar Police Station Detective Team led by DSI G. Sateesh Reddy with support from the Crime Team. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Inspector T. Ram Babu and Detective Inspector K. Narsing Rathod.

Charminar Police recover mobiles through CEIR

Police appealed to the public to report lost or stolen mobile phones without delay at the nearest police station or through the CEIR portal. They said prompt reporting improves the chances of tracing and recovering missing devices through technical investigation.

The police also advised citizens to make use of the CEIR portal whenever they lose their mobile phones so that the devices can be blocked, traced and recovered more efficiently.
