Mirchowk Police recover 25 mobile phones through CEIR portal

Hyderabad: Mirchowk Police recovered 25 lost or stolen mobile phones through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal and technical investigation. The police returned the recovered devices to their respective owners at Mirchowk Police Station on Thursday, October 8.

The ACP of Mirchowk Division handed over the phones to their owners during the programme. According to police, the devices had gone missing under different circumstances, prompting complainants to report the incidents to the police.

The Detective and Crime teams used the CEIR portal, technical investigation and continuous follow-up to trace the missing devices. Subsequently, they recovered the phones from different locations and arranged their return to the owners.

Mirchowk Police recover phones under senior officers’ supervision

DSI Md. Mujtaba Ali Quasim led the Mirchowk Police Detective Team during the recovery operation, with support from the Crime Team. Inspector M. Kondal Rao and Detective Inspector N. Saidaiah guided the teams, while ACP G. Shyam Sunder supervised the operation in Mirchowk Division, Charminar Zone.

Meanwhile, police advised people to report lost or stolen mobile phones immediately at the nearest police station. They also urged the public to use the CEIR portal to help authorities trace and recover missing devices quickly.
