The police located the phones in various areas of Hyderabad and nearby localities. Many devices had ended up with secondary users and shop owners who purchased them without verifying ownership.

All 24 phones were recovered and seized following standard procedures. Police will return the devices to rightful owners after completing legal formalities.

The Chandrayangutta Police advised the public to verify IMEI numbers and ownership details before purchasing second-hand mobile phones to avoid legal issues.

Officials said the operation underscores the department’s commitment to recovering lost property and maintaining public trust.
