MLA Raja Singh writes to DGP; alleges illegal police cases against him

Hyderabad: Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh accused Hyderabad police of filing illegal cases against him and urged the Telangana DGP to intervene.

He said the police twisted his speech delivered in Madhya Pradesh and registered cases with no connection to Hyderabad. Raja Singh demanded that the DGP explain the reasons behind these actions and ensure fair treatment.

Raja Singh questions Hyderabad police

Speaking to reporters, Raja Singh said he made the comments at a Hindu Sabha in Madhya Pradesh. He alleged that the police distorted his remarks to target him politically. “How can Hyderabad police file cases for incidents outside their jurisdiction?” he asked.

The MLA said he would continue to fight what he described as the misuse of police power and defend his rights through lawful means.

31 police stations booked cases

Raja Singh said police in 31 stations had filed cases against him. These include Kanchanbagh, Shalibanda, Nampally, Amberpet, Banjara Hills, Falaknuma, and Chandrayangutta in Hyderabad.

He added that Bidar and Basavakalyan police in Karnataka also lodged complaints. Raja Singh urged the DGP to review each case and provide justice without delay.
