Car bursts into flames while parking in Dummugudem’s Balaji Nagar, no casualties reported

Hyderabad: Panic gripped residents of Balaji Nagar in Dummugudem mandal when a car suddenly caught fire while being parked near residential houses on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred on Road No. 4 of the colony.

Car fire in Balaji Nagar sparks panic among locals

According to locals, a resident of Balaji Nagar was parking his Tata Punch car (TS 28 8621) in front of his house when thick smoke began to rise from the engine. The driver immediately stopped the vehicle, but flames erupted within seconds and spread rapidly across the car.

Residents panicked as the fire broke out just a few feet from nearby houses. Some locals tried to douse the flames, but their efforts failed. The car burned completely before the fire department reached the spot.

Fortunately, no one suffered injuries in the incident. Locals suspect that a short circuit in the car’s electrical system may have caused the fire. The sudden blaze created tension across the neighbourhood.
