Software engineer dies of electrocution while working from home in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old software engineer died of electrocution while working from home on Tuesday morning in Lingarajupalli village of Atmakur (M) mandal, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district. The victim, Bhushi Ganesh, died after coming into contact with a live electric wire. His father, Narsimha, sustained injuries in the incident.

According to locals, Ganesh had been working remotely for a Bengaluru-based software company. The family recently carried out cement plastering work on their house walls. While removing iron pipes used for construction, one pipe accidentally touched an overhead electric wire next to the wall.

Ganesh received a severe electric shock and collapsed instantly. His father, who rushed to help, also suffered burns. Family members and neighbours tried to rescue Ganesh and rushed him to the hospital, but he died on the way.

The young man was the couple’s only son. His sudden death left the family inconsolable and the village in deep sorrow.
