Hyderabad: The BRS conducted a mock Assembly at Telangana Bhavan, with former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav taking the role of chief minister. Zaheerabad MLA Manik Rao acted as the Speaker during the event.
BRS members staged protests inside the mock House while displaying placards on public issues. The proceedings focused on criticism of the Congress government and its election promises.
Speaking in the role of chief minister, Talasani took sarcastic digs at the Congress over its promise to implement guarantees within 100 days. He questioned the specific period covered by that assurance.
“We said we would implement the promises within 100 days. But did we say which 100 days?” Talasani said during the mock session. He added that his party would remain in power for 25 years and implement the promises at some point.

Talasani also made sarcastic comments about issues within the government and his party. He told members to discuss anything except the subject before the House.
“I have many problems. There is a problem with Delhi, a problem within the party, and finally, there is no peace even with the BRS,” he said.
The former minister also drew laughter in the House with a remark about the Kaleshwaram project. He said former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had built the project, referring to one of the world’s largest lift irrigation projects.
Talasani accused the Congress of misleading people with its promise to implement guarantees within 100 days. He said the party came to power after making that assurance during the elections.
The BRS used the mock Assembly to highlight public issues and target the Congress government’s handling of its election commitments.
