BRS accuses BJP, Congress of secret alliance in Telangana

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan on Wednesday alleged that the BJP and Congress, despite ideological differences, were maintaining a secret alliance in Telangana and acting in coordination to defame BRS and its leadership.

Sravan alleges coordinated conspiracy against KCR

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, Sravan accused both parties of launching deliberate misinformation campaigns against BRS. He questioned the credentials of Maharashtra government advisor Vedire Sriram, demanding to know what he had done for Telangana. He claimed that Sriram was echoing the Congress narrative and making baseless statements against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Sravan further alleged that Sriram, who has irrigation expertise, remained silent on Andhra Pradesh’s water interests while openly targeting KCR. He also claimed that Sriram was operating out of command rooms and even former TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy’s chamber, suggesting collusion.

He said BJP leaders in Telangana were supporting the Congress and questioned whether any BJP MLA had raised a single issue against Congress. “Revanth, Uttam, and Sriram are conspiring together to malign KCR,” Sravan stated.

He criticised Sriram’s silence on the 299 TMC water allocation to Telangana, which occurred under united Andhra Pradesh during Kiran Kumar Reddy’s tenure. He also accused the BJP of stalling the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal verdict to please Andhra leaders like Chandrababu Naidu.

Sravan challenged Union ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay to speak out on Telangana’s rightful share of river waters if they had any integrity. He likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to “bade bhai and chhote bhai” working hand in glove.

Calling BJP MPs and MLAs shameless, he demanded that they stop serving Andhra interests and start defending Telangana’s rights.

BRS leaders Palle Ravikumar, Gosula Srinivas Yadav, Kuruva Vijay Kumar, and Katla Swami Yadav were present at the press conference.
