Hyderabad: BJP Telangana leaders on Monday performed Bhoomi Puja at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Modi public meeting scheduled for May 10.
BJP Telangana State president N. Ramchander Rao led the ceremony.
Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, MPs Eatala Rajender and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy attended the programme.
BJP Telangana in-charge Abhay Patil and several senior party leaders also participated.
Addressing the media, Ramchander Rao said people across the country were witnessing transformational changes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He stated that Modi was leading India on the path of development through BJP policies and governance reforms.
Modi public meeting expected to draw large crowd
Ramchander Rao expressed confidence that Telangana would witness major political change in the coming years.
He said people in the state would support the BJP in the future.
The BJP leader appealed to the public to participate in large numbers and make the May 10 gathering a success.
According to Ramchander Rao, the party expected more than two lakh people to attend the Modi public meeting at Parade Grounds.
Party leaders and functionaries are continuing preparations for the programme.
