Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for seven substations in Station Ghanpur constituency on Tuesday.
The projects form part of efforts to strengthen power infrastructure in the region.
Ahead of the visit, MLA Kadiyam Srihari and District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha reviewed the arrangements on Monday.
The programmes involve power projects worth Rs 60.62 crore.
Seven substations to boost power supply in constituency
A public meeting will take place at Pallagutta village in Chilpur mandal after the ceremonies.
Moreover, around 6,000 people are expected to attend the event.
Srihari directed officials to complete all arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
Meanwhile, he said the constituency would accord a grand welcome to the Deputy Chief Minister during his first visit.
Bhatti Vikramarka will inaugurate the 132/33 KV substation at Peechara in Velair mandal.
He will also inaugurate 33/11 KV substations at Kondapur, Sagaram and Kurchapalli villages.
In addition, he will lay foundation stones for new 33/11 KV substations at Lingampalli, Pallagutta and Nashkal villages.
Srihari said he would seek solutions to issues involving power lines passing over residential houses in seven mandals.
He will also request the government to upgrade the Raghunathpalli 132/33 KV substation to a 220/132 KV facility.
Furthermore, the MLA said the projects would resolve nearly 90 per cent of power-related issues in the constituency.
He added that the government aims to provide reliable electricity to farmers and residents.
