Hyderabad: The annual fish prasadam distribution for asthma patients will begin at 9 pm on Monday at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, with authorities making extensive arrangements for the large influx of devotees expected from across the country.
Officials have set up 35 distribution counters and arranged 1.4 lakh fish for the programme.
The distribution will continue without interruption until June 9.

Authorities have introduced special measures following last year’s incident and have established separate counters for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Special bus services are also operating to help devotees reach the venue.
Officials said they have taken steps to ensure smooth crowd management and prevent inconvenience to visitors.
Thousands of people from different states have already arrived in Hyderabad to receive the prasadam.
The Bathini family has been distributing the fish prasadam for decades on the occasion of Mrigasira Karthi.
As in previous years, organisers expect a large turnout during the two-day programme.
Officials said all arrangements for the event have been completed.
