Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Bapu Ghat in Langer Houz on Gandhi Jayanti. They offered flowers at Gandhi’s statue and participated in an all-faith prayer meeting.
During the Gandhi Jayanti programme, Revanth Reddy and Shiv Pratap Shukla also inaugurated a digital museum established at Bapu Ghat. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and several state ministers attended the event.
Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Mohammed Azharuddin participated in the programme. Planning Commission vice-chairperson Gadwal Vijayalakshmi was also present.
Gandhi Jayanti programme draws senior Telangana officials
Government Adviser V. Hanumantha Rao and Government Whips Addanki Dayakar and Ramachandra Naik attended the event. MLC and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud also participated.
Other public representatives joined the programme. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju and Director General of Police C.V. Anand were among the senior officials present.
Several other senior government officials also attended the programme. The digital museum was inaugurated during the event at Bapu Ghat.
