Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Adluri Lakshman criticised Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan over his remarks on the denial of permission for a public meeting and urged him to follow due process.
The minister said Telangana people admired Pawan Kalyan as an actor long before he entered politics. However, he objected to what he described as inappropriate comments made over the issue of permission for a public meeting.
Lakshman said organisers could submit a fresh application if authorities denied permission for a meeting. He added that the government considers several factors before granting or rejecting such requests.

The minister said Telangana people treated the people of Andhra Pradesh as brothers and would never disrespect them.
He also objected to remarks directed at Congress leader Addanki Dayakar. Lakshman said criticism over the permission issue should not target individuals unnecessarily.
According to the minister, granting permission for public meetings remained an administrative matter. He maintained that leaders should respect established procedures instead of making personal attacks.
Lakshman further said Telangana people were known for their compassion and generosity. He claimed those qualities distinguished the state from many others across the country.
The minister also expressed confidence about the Congress party’s future prospects in the state. He said the party would retain power in Telangana after the 2029 Assembly elections.
