Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials conducted raids at the residence of a Ranga Reddy district deputy collector and eight other locations in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
The raids targeted Deputy Collector Vamsi Mohan on Thursday.
Officials also inspected the Urban Land Ceiling section at the Medchal-Malkajgiri Collectorate during the investigation.
According to investigators, Vamsi Mohan earlier served as the Revenue Divisional Officer in Serilingampally.
He is facing allegations of illegally registering large extents of government land during his tenure.
Deputy collector land scam under investigation
Investigators suspect that nearly eight acres of government land in Abdullapurmet and Piglipuram were misappropriated.
According to the allegations, the land was first registered in the name of the officer’s father-in-law.
Later, the properties were allegedly transferred to real estate developers through gift deeds.
The ACB is examining the transactions linked to the disputed land registrations.
Furthermore, officials are probing possible irregularities connected to government land records.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau is also investigating allegations involving the disappearance and manipulation of crucial Urban Land Ceiling files.
Investigators suspect that large sums of money exchanged hands in connection with the alleged tampering of records.
Meanwhile, officials continued scrutiny of documents available in the Urban Land Ceiling section of the collectorate.
The agency has not yet disclosed the value of the assets identified during the searches.
