Telangana to frame policy for land allotment at Yadagirigutta temple

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to prepare a comprehensive Yadagirigutta land allotment policy for allocating land to mutts within the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple premises. He said the temple must retain ownership rights over all land allotted for religious and institutional purposes.

The Chief Minister reviewed the development of the Yadagirigutta temple during a high-level meeting at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion. He instructed officials to study the land allotment model followed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) before finalising the policy.

Revanth Reddy also directed officials to allot land to the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Charitable Foundation at the prevailing market price.

Yadagirigutta land allotment policy to follow TTD model

The Chief Minister asked officials to prepare a list of individuals and organisations willing to construct guest houses on the hill. He directed them to adopt the TTD model for guest house construction and grant permissions in phases.

He also instructed officials to frame clear guidelines for allotting land to caste associations. Further, Revanth Reddy directed officials to immediately release funds for land acquisition required for various development works around the temple.

He also instructed an engineers’ committee to examine the report on the temple’s construction and submit its recommendations within a week. In addition, the Chief Minister asked officials to develop a tourism circuit through the public-private partnership model.

Rajya Sabha member V. Narender Reddy, Members of Parliament Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy and Raghveer Reddy, Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah, MLA Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy and senior officials from the Endowments, Finance and temple departments attended the meeting.
