Women’s welfare initiatives discussed by Mahila Congress leader and Rajanarasimha

Hyderabad: All India Mahila Congress National Secretary and Telangana Mahila Congress in-charge Mayuri Singh met Telangana Medical, Health and Family Welfare Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Monday to discuss women’s welfare initiatives, healthcare and empowerment programmes in the state.

The courtesy meeting took place at the Minister’s residence in Hyderabad. Additionally, both leaders reviewed initiatives that the Telangana government is implementing to promote women’s empowerment, welfare, healthcare and overall development.

Women’s welfare initiatives discussed with Mahila Congress

Mayuri Singh and Damodar Rajanarasimha also discussed expanding women-focused government welfare programmes through the Mahila Congress. Moreover, the Minister said his department is implementing several initiatives to empower women across Telangana.

He also highlighted the state’s efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. These include recruiting nursing officers, strengthening medical education, improving women’s healthcare and empowering Self-Help Groups.

Mayuri Singh said the Mahila Congress is actively working to strengthen the organisation across Telangana. Furthermore, she said the organisation would continue supporting the government’s programmes aimed at women’s welfare and empowerment.
