Hyderabad: A woman police constable died by suicide in Vikarabad district, prompting police to open a probe into the Vikarabad woman constable suicide on Saturday.
The Vikarabad constable suicide took place at Gangaram Saibaba Colony in Vikarabad town. Divya, who lived in the colony, ended her life at her residence.
According to police, Divya hanged herself inside her house. As soon as they received information, Vikarabad town police rushed to the spot and started an inquiry.
They then moved the body to the Vikarabad Government Hospital for postmortem. Consequently, the incident triggered grief in the locality and within the police department.
Vikarabad woman constable suicide note surfaces
While addressing the media on the Vikarabad constable suicide, Vikarabad Circle Inspector Raghu Kumar said Divya worked as a writer at Dharur Police Station.
He said she left behind a suicide note. In the note, Divya wrote that no one was responsible for her death. She also stated that the family had suffered hardships after her father’s death.
Police registered a case and continued a detailed probe into the Vikarabad constable suicide. Meanwhile, some doubts emerged over whether she had faced any pressure from senior officials in the department.
Family members, colleagues and colony residents mourned her death. As the Vikarabad constable suicide case progressed, investigators examined all possible angles.
