Telangana Congress to stage protest outside ED office on April 17

HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud has announced a protest outside the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Hyderabad on 17 April. The TPCC ED protest, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., is aimed at condemning what the party calls politically motivated actions by the BJP-led Central Government.

Addressing a press conference, Goud said the protest is in response to the inclusion of senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the ED’s chargesheet related to the National Herald case. He alleged that the move reflects a broader agenda of harassment against the top leadership of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

He appealed to Congress workers, leaders, and supporters to participate in large numbers, asserting that the TPCC ED protest will send a strong message against the misuse of central agencies for political vendetta.

The demonstration is part of a nationwide outcry by the Congress party, which has accused the BJP of using institutions like the ED to suppress dissent and intimidate the opposition ahead of crucial elections.
